We are delighted to announce the official vinyl-release show for "ANYHOW"will be at the end of the month at center city's coolest new(ish) venue Milkboy at 1100 Chestnut Street! We'll be sharing the stage with some other excellent Philly bands, and of the course the album will be on sale.

| 2/22/12| Grubstake Returns to "Boston", at PA's Lounge Sat. March 10th

This will be the first time we're making it back in a few years, and we aims to make the most of it. We'll be appearing as a stripped down thunder-cracking guitar & drums 2 piece, doing material from our newest release "Anyhow" along with some covers and just a handful of our older tunes. We'll be opening up the evening for our friends The Frost Heaves, The Rotary Club, and Minor Three.

| 11/8/11| New album drops today! CD Release show for "ANYHOW" at THE TRITONE FRI. 11/18

We are happy to announce that the cd release show for our new cd "(whats the point in a new cd) Anyhow" (or just "Anyhow" for short) is Fri. Nov. 18 at the Tritone. We'll be going on 2nd around 10pm, sharing the bill with Meddlesome Meddlesome Meddlesome Bells and The Great Afternoon.

| 8/31/11| Grubstake returns to the venerable TRITONE on a bill filled with great music SAT. 9/17

The full 5-piece will be in the house, although things will be on the quieter side for the most part. The quintet features violin, guitar, vocals, accordion, and sometimes drums, in a sort of musical circus that only sometimes plays all together. We’ll be sharing the stage with Secret Photos, Mark Thousands, and Josh Alvarez. This will be a low-key bill with a couple solo acts, and the cover is just $5. Music starts at 9pm

Then on Monday night, we return to the always entertaining and at least slightly bizarre MONDAY NIGHT CLUB hosted by AD Amorosi at NATIONAL MECHANICS (22 S. 3rd St., olde city) combusting a delightful molotov of punkrock gems, don't blink you might miss a few!

The Grubstake Roots Project will be playing with a special stripped down line up with John on violin and Paddy on guitar, pulling out some brand new tricks. Philly's own Crills Wilson puts a sweet hurtin on some folk roots after us, and Nashville's Patrick Sweany rocks out on some soul-tinged blues licks on their tour around the country to headline.
